Straight Bourbon
Colorado mountain heritage. A bourbon worth savoring.
Buy NowBorn and reared
above the ordinary.
Released in September 2026, high in Colorado’s historic mining country, Rick Thomas Straight Bourbon is born in Forsyth copper pot stills, and aged and reared in new charred oak at 8,655 feet. Distilled, aged, and bottled on our Black Hawk property, using 100% Colorado family farm grains, it carries the character of its mountain home and the patient craftsmanship behind every release.
In our uninsulated, dirt-floor rickhouse, dramatic mountain temperature swings shape the interaction between whiskey and oak. Our distiller follows that development closely, releasing each whiskey only when it meets his exacting standards.
The response has been memorable. Many tasters have independently told us, “This is the best bourbon I’ve ever had.” It is praise we treasure, and an invitation to discover your own impression. Pour a measure, take your time, and savor a remarkably smooth Colorado bourbon born and reared above the ordinary.
