Mountain made.
Patiently crafted.
High in Colorado’s historic mining country, Rick Thomas Straight American Single Malt is born in Forsyth copper pot stills and reared in new oak at 8,655 feet. Distilled, aged, and bottled on our Black Hawk property, using 100% Colorado grains from family farms. It reflects a place where mountain weather sets the rhythm and exacting craftsmanship guides every release.
Our uninsulated, dirt-floor rickhouse leaves the barrels exposed to Colorado’s dramatic temperature swings, shaping the interaction between whiskey and oak. Aged for more than two years and bottled at 96 proof, this remarkably smooth single malt invites you to slow down, pour a measure, and savor its mountain heritage.
Awarded a Gold Medal and 92 points at the North American Bourbon & Whiskey Competition, our very first release earned recognition worthy of the care behind every bottle.
